The Maccabees

So far, 2012 has been an exciting year for The Maccabees. The South London band have found themselves on the receiving the end of universal positive critical acclaim for their third album 'Given To The Wild' …picking up a whole new audience for their beautiful, well crafted yet off-kilter alt-pop songs. Building on the successes of Wall Of Arms and Colour It In, Given To The Wild is an adventurous record, unafraid to take risks and all the richer for it. They rounded off the summer with an exhilarating headline set at Reading & Leeds Festivals; they have been nominated in 3 categories at the UK Music Video Awards, nominated for 'Anthem Of The Summer' at this year's Festival Awards, nominated for 'Best Album' at the Q Awards, and also a  2012 Barclaycard Mercury Prize 'Album of the Year'.
